Elysa Villarreal

Elysa joins the KBF SALT team after seven years with Aprio Advisory LLC. While at Aprio she launched the sales tax compliance service line to support clients after the 2018 South Dakota v. Wayfair Supreme Court decision. Elysa has supported clients within industries including ecommerce, SaaS, technology, retail, distribution, manufacturing, and food & beverage organizations.

Elysa has over 13 years of sales, use, and excise tax experience spanning industry and public accounting. She specializes in operational management of complex compliance environments, multi-state nexus review and monitoring, and advising clients on sales tax determination technology. Her goal is to present practical strategies that reduce audit risk and strengthen long-term compliance for clients.

Elysa is based in Texas where she attended the University of Texas at San Antonio where she earned Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Finance.
