Elysa Villarreal is a Director at KBF Advisory with more than 13 years of experience specializing in sales, use, and excise tax consulting. She helps businesses strengthen multi state compliance programs while implementing practical indirect tax strategies that reduce risk and support long-term growth.

Elysa advises clients on sales and use tax compliance, multistate nexus reviews, indirect tax technology, operational process improvements, and audit readiness. Her experience includes supporting organizations in the e-commerce, SaaS, technology, retail, manufacturing, distribution, and food and beverage industries. She is particularly skilled at helping clients develop scalable compliance solutions that adapt to changing state tax requirements.

Before joining KBF, Elysa spent seven years with Aprio Advisory LLC, where she established the firm's sales tax compliance service line following the South Dakota v. Wayfair decision. Her background in both industry and public accounting enables her to deliver practical, business-focused guidance tailored to each client's operational needs.
