Jeff A. Kieckhafer

Jeff A. Kieckhafer is the President and a founding partner of KBF Advisory, bringing more than 30 years of experience advising corporations on complex tax matters. As a leader of the firm's Corporate Tax Services practice, Jeff specializes in providing outsourced tax department solutions to public companies, venture-backed businesses, and private equity portfolio companies ranging from early-stage startups to multi-billion-dollar enterprises.

Jeff works closely with clients on all aspects of corporate tax operations, including ASC 740 accounting for income taxes, federal, state, and international tax planning, income tax compliance, and day-to-day tax consulting. His extensive experience allows him to serve as a trusted advisor, helping organizations navigate complex tax matters while building efficient and scalable tax functions.

Before co-founding KBF, Jeff was a Principal with Ernst & Young LLP in San Diego, where he served as the lead tax service coordinator for many of the region's prominent public companies and SEC registrants. He was also a member of Ernst & Young's Accounting for Income Tax technical support network and served as a lead instructor for the firm's Accounting for Income Taxes and Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 training programs. Earlier in his career, Jeff worked with Arthur Andersen and Price Waterhouse in Silicon Valley before leading Ernst & Young's tax practice in Reno, Nevada, and later returning to the firm's San Diego office.
