Shelby Smith

Shelby is joining the KBF team in Washington. Originally from Arizona, she earned both her BS in Accountancy and MBA from Northern Arizona University. She began her career in assurance at EY, working with clients in life sciences, hospitality, e-commerce, and healthcare across the Phoenix and Seattle offices.

Since moving into industry roles, Shelby has held leadership positions in professional sports, banking, and the restaurant sector. She brings deep expertise in financial operations, with a strong focus on system implementations and process improvement. Most of her career has been spent with Major League Soccer organizations, including the Seattle Sounders and Nashville SC. Most recently, she served as Controller for Taco Time, a regional quickservice restaurant chain where she led a full Workday ERP implementation.
