Nicholas McMahon

Nicholas McMahon is a Director at KBF Advisory with more than 10 years of experience specializing in state and local taxation. He advises clients on complex state income and franchise tax matters, helping organizations manage compliance obligations while identifying opportunities for tax savings and operational efficiencies.

Nick's practice focuses on state tax planning, ASC 740 considerations, state tax compliance, nexus studies, voluntary disclosure agreements, tax controversy, due diligence, and multistate consulting. He serves clients across a wide range of industries, including technology, life sciences, financial services, manufacturing, and renewable energy.

Before joining KBF, Nick spent a decade with Deloitte, where he developed extensive experience advising public and private companies on complex state income and franchise tax issues. His practical, solutions-oriented approach helps clients confidently navigate today's increasingly complex state tax environment.
