Scott Montopoli

Scott Montopoli is a Senior Director at KBF Advisory with more than 25 years of experience specializing in corporate and international taxation. He advises multinational businesses on complex cross-border tax matters, helping organizations develop tax-efficient global structures while managing regulatory and compliance requirements.

Scott's practice focuses on international tax planning, global effective tax rate management, supply chain and intellectual property structuring, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, foreign tax credits, transfer pricing, and U.S. international tax reporting. He also has extensive experience advising clients on Pillar Two, foreign tax credit planning, CFC rules, FDII, BEAT, and other emerging international tax issues.

Prior to joining KBF, Scott held leadership roles with Grant Thornton, EY, and KPMG, where he led international tax practices and advised Fortune 250 companies, private equity firms, and multinational organizations across industries including technology, manufacturing, life sciences, financial services, retail, and real estate. In addition to his client work, Scott is a licensed attorney, frequent speaker at industry conferences, and an adjunct professor of tax law.
